So I'm terrible at keeping the updates page up to date. I've added three more chapters to Cyber Fake. I also added a short Aliens fic. I'm hoping to do at least a couple more of these. It is my favorite movie, after all.

Another update within a week? Surely the world must be ending. Someone must have been wishing me tons of luck, because the completed version of Route 666 is finished and posted. This weekend, the epilogue will be going up. I hit a real writing roll, and the last few sections just flew by.
Also, a new layout is up on Apollymi's Grimoire. Does it look like anything that might be useful for DMnet? I don't know yet, but I welcome opinions, as always.

Sadly, I wish I had more to update. I've made some small cosmetic changes around the website: fixing broken links, correcting headers, correcting HTML errors, that sort of thing. Today, however, I added PDF versions of Gods and Other Creatures, Color of Life, Blood and Sacrifice, Spellbound, and Automatic Paranoia to the fiction page. I also linked a second teaser for Route 666.
I'm hoping to be able to link the entire story of Route 666 before the beginning of May. Wish me lots of luck.

So, on the last update, DarkMagick.net was another year old. This update, it's me that's made it another year. All the way to the big 30 now.
You may notice that Stolen Prayers is no longer linked on the sidebar or on the main page. VS has deleted her site on DarkMagick.net, so I have removed the links. I've also unlinked BeckyH's Place, until she has content up as well.
I'm hoping to have something new to put up no later than the end of March, but I'm not going to make any promises that I might have to break later. It seems that work and class are keeping me too busy to write. It makes me miss part-time work, that's for sure, at least when it comes to writing. And it's not like I can do like Randy Milholland and get enough donations to lay out of work for a year.

Somehow I missed getting this new layout uploaded on the 24th. I've had it done for a week or so, but I missed getting it online.
DarkMagick.net celebrated its 9th anniversary on the 24th. Yes, we've been around that long now. Pretty amazing, isn't it?

Well, this is a little better break between updates: mid-August to mid-September. Like always, I'm swamped with class, the day job, the novels, and trying to be healthy. It's not the easiest thing, and most of the time I'm doing good to accomplish what I have.
Two new chapters of Whoever Brings the Night has been posted on the fan fiction page. I've also gone through and fixed some borked CSS in the other chapters. If you find chapters or stories where the background color shows up but nothing else, then please email them to me so that I can fix them right away.
Likewise, small updates have been completed on the About Apollymi page: updating dates, things I like, etc.
Finally, the Recommendations page has been changed around a bit. There have been small edits to the Yu-Gi-Oh page. Doctor Who/Torchwood has its own page. And I've cleared out some links that apparently I only linked to have them for later. Whoops.

Sorry for the long time between updates. Mostly, I've been busy with class, the day job, writing on the novels, and trying to maintain a semblance of health. Easier said than done, unfortunately, but I am trying.
I've readded a "sponsor" link to the main part of the site, on the bottom left column. I'm saving up SwagBucks for the next toy I want: an iPod Touch. The only way to actually send funds to me is through the PayPal link on the main page and linked on the bottom right column.
Mostly, I've been fixing links and things . For instance, on the Recommendations page, I had one story that was linked on chapter 13. Two of my own stories somehow got extra coding slipped into their header and so wouldn't show any text. This much I've fixed. More will be updated and fixed as I spot it.
I'm working on the next chapter of Belladonna and Whoever Brings the Night. I'm also trying to get Endless Loop 5: Route 666 done as well before National Novel Writing Month begins again in November. I also have a new novel series I'm working on, The Seekers. So, lots to do and less time to do it in.

Long time, no update, huh? Between bugs and the issues with my wrist, to say nothing of being in classes again this semester, it's been tough trying to get anything done.
I've been going through and updating links on the recommendations page, slowly but surely weeding out the broken links as I find them. Obviously, I've updated the layout again. It was time to go to blues for the main pages and pinks for the writing pages. If I haven't said it lately, whoever came up with the idea of doing php includes so that there are only a few things that need changing each time, I have great admiration and respect for you.
On the computer front, I bought a nice used 20" iMac G5 off eBay, promptly named it Duo (with a partitioned drive named Heero and an external named Usagi -- I had a theme going), and am in love with using him for everything. I do have to say, though, that I'm still working on figuring out Photoshop CS3. It's sort of... O.o.

So I've finally gotten off my updating every few days thing, haven't I? I've actually made a few small changes here and there within the site but did not deem them worth an update. So what's been changed? The fund raiser is still ongoing, and I have a new Fundable donation page set up for the next 11 days to try to offset the costs a wee bit.
I am getting close to having another chapter of Belladonna completed. Unfortunately, though, I have been down with a rather nasty bug this last week and so haven't gotten much in the way of writing done.

I've done some more site changes. I've added drop-down menus for links and my own fiction. I've also created two new versions of the fan fiction page: completed stories only and stories graded A and B only. Both of these new pages, as well as the original fiction page, are linked in this drop- down menu.
As for the links pages, I've combined the link using this drop-down menu, so that hovering over the new "Links" section to the left will show both.
I've also updated the information on The (Good) Fanfiction Webring.
Finally, the last part of my clarification project will be the biggest part of it: I will be standardizing all headers on all my own fiction. I'm putting it off because it's going to be a headache, though.

So this is one of my longest gaps in 2009 for updating. I'm rather impressed.
Anyway, somehow, I thought I had uploaded Third Chance here, but I managed to, well, not. So it's two weeks overdue, but it is now available on my fan fiction page.
Also, I've done a minor revision to my fan fiction page: I've replaced all the "shounen-ai" with "slash" and all the "shoujo-ai" with "femmeslash". This is part of my clarification project.
The fund raiser is almost over, and -- surprise! -- I'm nowhere near my goal. I'm under debate if I'll be running a second fund raiser or just begging for PayPal donations, but that's where we stand. Thank you to the four people who've donated.

Yet another update. I'm on a roll here, aren't I? I've done a pretty major overhaul on the Endless Loop subdomain. All the links are now redirected to here, instead of me having to do a lot of copying and pasting over. Mainly, because I'm lazy like that. I've also given it a long-overdue CSS overhaul, and I've linked on the left menubar here.
I haven't had a chance for writing on it this weekend. Sadly, the depression has been hitting me hard since I've had so much going on lately. I'm going to try for more soon, but no promises.

Continuing my standardization of names, I've gone through all my Yu-Gi-Oh stories and changed all the "Jyonouchi"s to "Jounouchi"s. I think that's most of the changes I still had remaining. I have not changed spellings on anyone else's stories.
On another note, I'm about 1600 words/4 pages into Route 666. I'd like it to top 10,000 words -- 20,000 would be even better. So we'll have to see how long it'll take to get done. I will be working on it along as time permits.
I've also fixed a broken link on the site and added a link to the Fundable fundraiser to replace my dying computer.

In my rush in posting yesterday, I forgot to link Chapter Five of Belladonna from the Fan Fiction page. This has now been corrected. Pardon my error: I was hurrying to get off to go to a funeral. I'm home now, though, so I'm fixing my mistakes.
I'm going to switch off of fan fiction for a bit again, excepting Whoever Brings the Night, while I concentrate on classwork and finishing Ash: The Preterhumans Book 3, especially seeing as how apparently no one has liked the newest chapter to bother posting a comment here, on FanFiction.net, or on LiveJournal. No worries, though: I'm not dropping it.

Another update! I'm so rocking!
I've completed the revisions of all Gundam Wing and crossover stories. All spellings have been standardized from "Hiiro" to "Heero" and "Ririna" to "Relena". It makes me... both happy and nostalgic.
More of Belladonna should be posted soon.

I'm definitely on a roll. I can't think of the last time I did this many updates so quickly.
The revisions of the Gundam Wing stories are progressing very well. I actually have all of them completed except for Gods and Other Creatures -- and I'm actually through Chapter 10 on it. I hope to have it done by tomorrow or Friday.
At the same time, I am also working on Chapter Five of Belladonna. It is about 600 words in; I generally like chapters for it to be over 2,000 words (about 5 pages). Fans of other series, I haven't forgotten you, but the nice folks who still like my crossovers have been waiting nearly two years for Belladonna updates; I owe them.
Katsuko and I are, however, planning on getting out a teaser for Endless Loop 5: Route 666 soonish. I can't predict when, but I'll definitely update here when I know.

This one isn't even an update to the Recommendations page either. This time, I have an actual story update for you: Chapter Four of Belladonna has now been posted. Somehow, it was even posted on the same day it came out. I don't know what brought on this spurt of productiveness, but it certainly wasn't my feeling better because I definitely don't. In fact, I might be swinging back towards sickly again.
But I did manage to get the chapter out! I hope Chapter Five won't take nearly so long.

I've started revisions on my Gundam Wing stories and crossover stories using Gundam Wing. I'm in the process of standardizing my spelling, so all my "Hiiro"s are becoming "Heero"s and all my "Ririna"s are becoming "Relena"s. I will be working on this over the next few days.
I'm also over 1100 words into the next chapter of Belladonna. Hopefully, it should be up soon.

Hey, look! Another update! Wow, imagine that!
It's just as a small one, however: nothing as large as my previous one. There have been two new stories added to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer section of the Recommendations page, both by Gail Christison. More stories will be added to this section in the upcoming weeks.
I've also belatedly added a new chapter to Whoever Brings the Night, only 4 days after I actually finished it.
Additionally, I removed the Twitter updates until the bug in it is fixed on the server's end, so that it no longer asks for a password. I don't like big pop-up boxes out of nowhere, and I know no one else does either. So until that's fixed, the Twitter is gone.

Happy 2009, everyone!
Obviously, the new site is up. There has been a pretty huge backend redesign. Every single file on the site, including every single chapter of every single fan fiction, has been opened and edited. I think I've caught all the HTML garbling, but if there's a spot I've missed, please let me know.
I've been updating this updates page on the test server, so there are many updates here. Please give them a look.

There is only one section of my fan fiction that still needs to be recoded -- and it's the biggest: crossovers. After that, all that will remain will be the Recommendation page and merging the test site back into the main site. You have no idea how glad that will make it, to have this behind me.
I've wholescale dropped the RPG fiction from my fanfiction page. Like other sections that are being dropped, it's still archived, but it's not linked. I don't think anyone will miss it.
Still no update from Cacoethes regarding Amaranth or Verdant, so I'm holding onto Ash for now and concentrating on the website, "Amnesty", and fan fiction.

Updates are still ongoing with the previously two mentioned sections still being the only two still ongoing.

All pages except for two have been completely recoded. Changes have been made to every page that remains. Several pages have been removed from the site, including reviews, book reviews, and wallpapers. They will remain archived, but they are no longer part of the main site.
The two pages left to finish being recoded are Apollymi's Fiction (Spells) and Recommendations (Mea Culpa). On Spells, the page itself has been completely recoded, but the individual titles still require a good deal of work. On Mea Culpa, all links still need to be checked, and the Yu-Gi-Oh fan fiction recommendations still need to be added to the page (or put on a page by themselves - this is still undecided). All signs point towards me hopefully being finished with this overhaul by the anticipated date of 01 January 2009.
Amaranth: The Preterhumans Book 1 is now available as an e-book through Cacoethes Publishing. It will be out next month on that website and Amazon.com as a print book.

I'm sorry that it's been a long time since I've updated here. I've been consumed by the prepublication work for Amaranth. I've also finished the second novel, Verdant, and sent it off to the publisher. I'm holding off on Ash till October, so I have a little bit of time for fanficcing.

I'm working on a secret, long-abandoned (like since February 2001) project. Expect results soon... but what it is will remain a secret until it's done. I don't want to jinx it. A hint or two might be a couple songs on the CD I'm working on as well to go with it: "Silicone" by Mono, "I Miss You" by Avril Lavigne...

Despite rumors to the contrary, I'm still working on this site. Expect forthcoming updates, fixing HTML garbling and other issues.
In the interval since I last made a post, I have finished my first novel and am trying to get it published.

And so I'm finished. Finished with my fanfiction, as well as gift stories and others' fanfiction.
Or well, rather I'm finished for today. I still need to go back and finish fixing the weird HTML garbling in several stories, but that's a task for another day. Additional work will be to fix the pages for others' fics and gift fics to match Spells.

And despite dire predictions, I finished recoding through the RENT section. The remaining sections are some of the largest, though, so it may take longer than just tomorrow. I'll try to get them all done as soon as possible, though.

Some site revamps are under way. I'm finally getting around to changes I've been meaning to do for a while, all of which are on Spells:
01. Recoding the fic headers, so they're all formatted the same, which means changing the title section to a div layer.
02. Making certain the comment feature is available at the bottom of every fiction page.
03. For chaptered stories, making certain all chapters are linked at the end of every chapter.
04. Doing away with the javascript pop-ups for the stories, and coding them so that they open in the layout table.
05. Fixing major mistakes in stories such as garbled HTML.
06. Reorganizing the folders so that all stories about a certain series are grouped in a folder together.
This process has been completed for all the Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Crossovers, Crystal Blue Snake of the Night, Dark-Hunter, and DN Angel. Tomorrow I will try to tackle from Doctor Who/Torchwood to at least the originals section, leaving from RENT till Yu-Gi-Oh: Endless Loop for Friday. By that point, I may be sick of seeing all this coding and not be back on the site for a bit.

Ignore the spamming on my previous post. I've pretty much decided to save up for the iTouch instead, since I've received no referrals.
Also I finished NaNoWriMo with 50,592 words. I'm still working on the story, and it may be the first to be published.
Finally, a few site notices: Angel Maxwell and Never Say Goodbye will be closing when their time runs out (June for NSG and September for AM). All the content for AM will be moved to the new domain on the network (as I have decided to publish under my real name), and NSG will likely be moved into an eFiction archive. Thoughts?

In the main DarkMagick.net news, National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is eating away at my soul -- and every ounce of my free time. It's the 11th, and I'm about 34% done. Some of my friends are talking me into trying to get it professionally published... and I'm agreeing. I'm even eyeing Juno Books for that purpose. Wish me luck!

I did a bit of recoding on the former "Fan of/Joined"/current "Fanlistings and Colourbars" page. The extent of my work includes reorganising the fanlisting codes into a more reasonable order. I also resized some colourbars so they would not throw the layout off any longer, as well as deleting some that were just too big, broken links, or things that no longer interested me. Finally, I joined two new fanlistings.
There were some minor updates made to the Contact Me page, including clearing out one email address and noting down what my Yahoo contact ID is.
So, has anyone played Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core yet? I'm really excited about it, yet dreading how it's going to sound in English. I adore Zack's Japanese voice.
Finally, does anyone out there happen to have a BitMeTV.org invite going spare they could direct my way? I've been trying to pick one up for months now.

Okay, so I suck a bit at finishing things up when I say I'm going to.
All stories on Spells now have "grades", ranking them from A (best) to F (worst). Of course, all "grades" are just my opinion. Feel free to argue a different grade for a story!
Still debating on moving chaptered stories into single files, but I'll wait on doing anything till I've finished with maintenance updates.

Okay, wow, that took the better part of a day, once I finally sat down to do it. Recoding the wallpapers, I mean. All the newest ones are finally up, and they are on their own page; the older ones have been moved to their own. Both are easily reachable from the main wallpapers page.
My next project will be to finish adding "grades" to my fanfiction page, followed by finishing recoding all the fanfiction pages themselves.
What would anyone think of my combining chaptered stories into a single file? This will mean less clicking for you guys and easier editing for me. Contact me with your thoughts!

I've also made some additional CSS changes, making blockquotes change colours and having the page footers enclosed and things like that. It's not a lot, but I'm a bit proud of it.
You may also notice that I've taken the updates page back off Blogger. Simply put, this is because I'm forgetful. I'll make updates, then forget to go over to Blogger and announce them. Today marks the 7th anniversary for DarkMagick.net!
As you can see, it's a bit of a special layout (i.e., it took me longer than five minutes with Photoshop to make). Some pages have gone, some new pages have shown up, pages have been updated, and some of the (long-)promised updates have started showing up. So far, that's included the latest review, but more will come soon.
New pages include a quick history on the site. Updates have been done on the About Me page.
Hopefully more updates to follow as the days progress.
